How to Set Up Co-op

1

Create or load a world

The host player creates a new world or loads an existing save.

2

Invite Steam friends

Invite players through your Steam friends list. Up to 6 players can join simultaneously.

3

Friends join the game

Invited players join via Steam notification or friends list. They will spawn in the same world.

4

See teammates on compass

New in Patch 0.1.3: Nearby players are now visible on the compass, making team coordination easier.

Suggested Team Roles

DPS / Damage Dealer

Cloudpiercers or Tomekeepers. Focus on high damage output for quick boss and elite kills.

Tank / Frontline

Starsmiths or Foretellers with Bril familiar. Hold the frontline and absorb damage for the team.

Gatherer / Crafter

Any coven. Focus on resource gathering and familiar bonding. Handle gear upgrades and Hearth building.

Scout / Explorer

Any ranged coven. Scout areas ahead, locate familiar spawn points and resource nodes.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Connection Lag / Stuttering

  • Ensure the host has a stable internet connection
  • Reduce player count (2-3 players provides the smoothest experience)
  • Close bandwidth-heavy applications

Save Corruption

  • Patch 0.1.2 added auto-backups every 15 minutes. Check the backup folder to restore saves.
  • Ensure all players safely disconnect before closing the session
  • Regularly back up save files manually

Cannot Join Game

  • Verify both players are on the same game version
  • Check that Steam is running and you are logged in
  • Try restarting the game and Steam client

Offline Mode

Patch 0.1.3 added full Offline Mode. You can play solo without an internet connection. However, co-op still requires online connectivity.
